Large scale late 19th century portrait of a rather portly Russian gentleman. The sitter is well dressed, holding a cigar and surrounded by richly carved furniture. He obviously enjoed the finer things in life! Artist and sitter unknown but well executed. Oil on canvas, the original canvas has been laid onto a later canvas and restored in places.
